After-school Good News Clubs are a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship and were approved by the US Supreme Court in 2001 to meet in public schools after school hours on the same terms as other community groups. Any child can participate with their parent's permission. For more information about the ministry of CEF, visit www.cefonline.com or call the local Big Bend chapter at (850) 878-1558.
The purpose of Good News Clubs are to teach children the good news of Jesus Christ through Bible lessons, missions stories, songs, games, Scripture memory, and prayer. We trust that God will use these clubs to raise up a new generation of worshipers who are passionate about the Lord and desire to see His name proclaimed among the nations. Currently, Four Oaks members lead 3 clubs.

There are three ways you can partner with us:
1) Serve as a volunteer.
We need both weekly volunteers and volunteers to sub when our regular volunteers are out. In order to volunteer, you must be screened by CEF. Look under the "How Can I Volunteer?" section for more information.
2) Become a member of the prayer team and pray for the club each week.
We send the prayer team periodic updates and prayer requests for the club.
3) Contribute financially to pay for Bibles, devotionals, supplies, and prizes.
Children are rewarded with a prize for memorizing several memory verses and completing devotional sheets. To financially contribute to the Good News Club, please make the checks out to Four Oaks and put Good News Club in the memo line.
We are always looking for volunteers to serve in Good News Club. Before serving, all volunteers serving in the schools must complete an application with Child Evangelism Fellowship, including a criminal background check and personal interview. To begin the process, you may download these documents and complete and send them to CEF. In addition, first-time volunteers must attend a 3-hour training taught by Pastor Scott.
