After-school Good News Clubs are a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship and were approved by the US Supreme Court in 2001 to meet in public schools after school hours on the same terms as other community groups. Currently, we partner with CEF to lead two clubs--one at Desoto Trail Elementary School and one at Canopy Oaks Elementary School. Any child can participate with their parent's permission. For more information about the ministry of CEF, visit www.cefonline.com or call the local Big Bend chapter at (850) 878-1558.
Purpose
The purpose of Good News Clubs are to teach children the good news of Jesus Christ through Bible lessons, missions stories, songs, games, Scripture memory, and prayer. We trust that God will use these clubs to raise up a new generation of worshipers who are passionate about the Lord and desire to see His name proclaimed among the nations. Currently, Four Oaks members lead 2 clubs.
