Large Group Bible Studies and Teaching Opportunities

Thursday Night College Bible Study

Begins Sept. 4th, 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm
The content of this year’s study is The Gospel of John. This year we’ll be challenged to look at the life, ministry, person & truth claims of Jesus Christ. Meanwhile, we prayerfully desire for this year’s study to be one in which you can invite an unbelieving friend or a young believer to have some questions answered about Jesus. Starting September 4th, and is located near the FSU campus: At the house of five Four Oaks college guys (who have upgraded from inflatable furniture).

Fellowship Groups

Fellowship Groups are basic Christian communities. They are gatherings of 10-14 people meeting in individual's homes in Tallahassee on a weekly basis. In Fellowship Groups, people come to know God and to experience His presence, community is developed and fostered, and people are nurtured, equipped and released for God's work in the world. They provide an opportunity for intimacy, mutual support, practical love and service, learning about the Christian faith, prayer, and sharing of what we see God doing in our midst. They are led by trained lay-leaders from the congregation who are given on-going support and oversight by an elder and pastor. We encourage all of our college students to be a part of one of our Fellowship Groups and experience the intergenerational benefits of getting to know adults of all ages who are a part of Four Oaks.

Foster Student Program

The Foster Student Program involves an intentional effort by Four Oaks church families to adopt and then help incorporate college-age students into the larger body life of the church. Families are responsible for initiating periodic fellowship opportunities with their adopted college student as a way of getting to know their student and to help them through the spiritual transitions in their lives.
