Becoming a Group Leader

The Five Requirements to Becoming a Fellowship Group Leader

  1. Member of Four Oaks and in a Healthy Fellowship Group
    Potential group leaders benefit the most from extended participation in a healthy group.
  2. Apprenticeship
    A person is identified by the leader as an apprentice, and begins to learn by means of on-the-job training and personal mentoring by the group leader. These mentoring lasts from six months to two years.
  3. Quarterly Leadership Gathering
    Once a person has 'officially' taken on the role of Apprentice they may begin to attend the quarterly Leadership Gathering on the 2nd Monday in August, November, February, and May.
  4. New Group Leader Training Seminar
    This seminar is held 2 times a year (apprentices choose one to attend) on a Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  5. Interview
    Before a person can begin leading a group they ought to be interviewed using the Fellowship Group Leader Qualifications from Section 2.6 in the Fellowship Group Training Manual by one or more of the following: their Fellowship Group Leader, Elder, or Pastor.
